Anna Gil-Bardají is a senior PhD Professor in Translation and Arabic Studies at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain. She is the founder and current director of the Master of Contemporary Arabic Studies.
Since 2001, she lectures Arabic language and translation from Arabic into Spanish and Catalan. Her fields of research are Critical Discourse Analysis (applied to the translation from Arabic into Spanish), Translation History and Theory, and Public Service Interpreting. She has also translated several literary works from Arabic and French to Spanish and Catalan.
She is an active member of MIRAS research group.
